Simple ways to Detox?
Posted by : bakedcheesesnacks
Are there any methods to detox that do not require a dramatic change in diet or herbal supplements and is more effective than simply drinking large quantities of water?
No, I’m not preparing for a drug test. I want to get ride of toxins that build up over time.

Take Niacin every day, and eat lots of apples.

quit taking the drugs. or you could always mask them, if you’re worried about a UA.

There is something called a saltwater cleanse, it does involve water, but it cleans out the entire digestive system. It’s a little uncomfortable, but it will get you cleaned out.

you may or may not like my answer… consume fruits or tea…
or soak your feet in one of those ‘detox feet spa’ thingy…
don’t ask me how it works, i just saw it in some store selling foot massage stuff… and according to a friend of mine, it works wonders, but the price really makes you wonder as well…
good luck

Interval training, showers, water, and fruit.
Do exercises that are intense, short intervals that cause you to sweat in a short amount of time, and cause fatigue in whatever muscles you are using (i.e. sprinting stairs). This causes lactic acid build-up in your muscles, which pools up other impurities in them as well. By taking showers with alternating cold/hot water, you will cause more concentration of acid and impurities in your muscles (hot water), and then flush them out (cold water). Drinking water (not necessarily large quantities) will purge the acids from your muscles as well. Eating citrus fruits is also a great way to clean out you muscles, intestines, settle your stomach, provide nutrients, and balance your body’s pH balance (acidity).
All of the above will help detox the ol’ body.

Obviously the first chic who answered likes to add multiple letters to the end of her words and doesn’t mind sounding like an idiot. The again she admitted to not knowwwing.
Uhm, when I detox, I take about a week. I cut my food intake down to nothing by day 5 then don’t eat for 2 days. I do take a multi-vitamin (1/2 in the am and 1/2 pm) at all times though. I drink 100% juices and water along with some skim milk. But… when I detox my body I do it to rid myself of my cravings. finally after my week long process, I am craving free and feel amazing! Keep yourself hydrated no matter what though. VERY important. When you get hungry, eat fresh organic fruits and veggies.

Yes, just cut out all stimulants such as sugar, alcohol, caffeine etc, also cut out bread and baked goods or anything containing yeast. Eat fresh fruit, veg, whole grains such as brown rice, plus nuts and seed, and drink herbal teas, such as chamomile, peppermint or Fennel etc. It won’t be easy, but just try it for a period of around two weeks to begin, although it’s probably not the right time of year to do such a radical thing this close to Christmas, I’d wait until the New Year now.

I know that a hospital gives a patient charcoal to drink when they give a patient too much medication. The charcoal absorbs the medication and pulls it out of the body, but believe me, if you do this, you will defiantly feel it coming out. I wouldn’t recommend doing this without medical supervision. I’m not sure if this is what you were talking about but if someone just drank poison or something, I would think it would work. If you are talking about hiding illegal drugs from a drug screen, It would be a better idea to just accept the consequences than put your self through so much without the guarantee that it will work, sorry. Hope this helps.

Okay, since you are not preparing for a drug test. I think my dad tried some stuff. Anything from drinking grape seed extract to some kind of kidney flush where he drank one cup of olive oil. This makes me *** just thinking about it but I guess it just depends how desperate you are. I mentioned the charcoal earlier but I’m not sure if this would work for your intended purpose and again I would like to put an emphasis on keeping your doctor updated on the treatments you put yourself through. Hope this helps.

There is really no need to “detox” your body in the sense that you are referring to. The body very effectively eliminates toxins through the urine and feces, so you really shouldn’t worry about it. Alternative medicine proponents claim that heavy metals, pesticides, pollutants, and so on accumulate in our bodies and cause basically every symptom you can think of. Such claims are completely unfounded and are not supported by any scientific research. Most often, people make these claims so they can sell some bogus product that supposedly resolves this fabricated issue. If you want to stay healthy, just stick with the basics: eat a balanced diet, drink enough fluids, exercise, and get enough sleep.
